Existing site:
This courtyard was surrounded by existing stone walls and the centre contained a soak-away.
Client Brief:
The client wanted to use the area for entertaining. The materials were to complement the existing walls and the planting was to be in blue-green colours.
Design solution:
A simple treatment was decided upon with a large central area that was re-paved with sandstone. The shape was broken up with areas of glaucous planting in gravel. The new steps up to the garage matched the existing ones.
